How to Play
Wordloom is a free daily word-grouping puzzle. You will see sixteen words. Your goal is to find four groups of four words that share a connection.
Basic rules
- Select exactly four words that belong together.
- Press Submit to check the group.
- Correct groups lock in and leave the board.
- Incorrect guesses use one mistake. You have 4 mistakes.
- If you are one word away from a valid group, you will see a “One away…” hint.
Difficulty colors
After a group is solved, it is colored by editorial difficulty: yellow (straightforward), green, blue, then purple (trickiest). Colors appear only after a group is found.
Tips
- Look for concrete categories first (objects, places, tools).
- Watch for wordplay: shared prefixes, figurative meanings, or nested language units.
- Use Shuffle when the board feels stuck.
- After finishing, read the explanations and linked word pages to understand why a set belongs together.
Accessibility
The puzzle is keyboard operable. Word tiles are buttons with pressed state announced for assistive technology. Status messages update live after each submit.
